Train and Bus Progress

Chepstow Train Station

Better Trains 4 Chepstow News and update from Jim Jenkins

The most significant development is the formation of a Monmouthshire CC Joint Rail Working Group under the Chairmanship of County Councillor David Dovey.

The inaugural meeting was graced with the attendance of Paul Matthews CEO and the County Council Leader Pater Fox.

David Flint, STAG, Phil Inskip, and Jim Jenkins BT4C are to attend and take part in the proceedings.

The first priority is to promulgate action towards improving train services possible through Easy Gains or Quick Wins.

After so many years of campaigning it is most encouraging to see our elected representatives getting closely involved and determined to see action taken. They deserve our full support.

On Wednesday 6th June 2012 the Better Trains for Chepstow Team was awarded a GAVO Monmouthshire Volunteer Achievement Award in recognition of valuable contributions to volunteering.

BT4C was the Environment Group – winner.
