After an unsettled start to the day, the weather cleared by mid morning… perfect litter picking conditions!
A total of 17 volunteers + children from Transition Chepstow, Chepstow Walkers are Welcome and Garden City Community gathered at the allotments by Fisherman’s Walk & we amassed a total of 22 purple bags (tins, plastic bottles) & 22 orange bags (general waste) / white heavy duty bags (glass). Other items included part of a jack, lamp stand, roof felt, fence wire and car light assembly unit. No needles found.
The slope was completely cleared, helped by Steve with his ropes + trolley (“Thunderbird 2”), to move everything back to the collection point.
Thanks to all who came along to help!
You can contact Paul to join a future litter pick or for more information: litter@transitionchepstow.org.uk.
